From 'God Hates Fags' Tees to 'Gaymer Pride' Plushies: Influencer Chad Thundercock's Shocking Pivot!

April 4, 2025
In a move that has left the internet simultaneously baffled and ablaze with righteous fury (mostly from the ‘concerned’ grandma demographic), controversial influencer Chad Thundercock, known for his line of ‘God Hates Fags’ tees and ‘Straight Pride’ trucker hats, has launched a wildly successful LGBTQ+ merchandise line.

Dubbed ‘Chad’s Rainbow Rebellion’ (a name that, ironically, nobody seems to have suggested), the collection features everything from ‘Drag Queen Dad’ onesies to ‘Bi-Curious Bear’ hoodies. The collection has been described by fashion critics as ‘a bizarre collision of toxic masculinity and glitter cannons,’ which, we admit, is pretty accurate.

Thundercock, in an exclusive interview (conducted via carrier pigeon, because apparently, email is ‘too woke’), stated, "Look, I was wrong. Being a bigoted, closeted homophobe who secretly loves RuPaul's Drag Race is exhausting. Now I'm embracing my true self; a capitalist who exploits marginalized groups for profit! It’s the American dream!"

The collection has, predictably, sparked outrage and confusion in equal measure. One particularly irate commenter, presumably a regular at a local Chick-fil-A, wrote: "This is an attack on Christianity!…although, that unicorn onesie is kinda cute. Might get one for little Timmy…but I’ll make him wear it inside out."

Experts have weighed in, with Dr. Philomena Pumpernickel, Professor of Gender Studies at the University of Kale, stating: "This is a clear example of performative allyship, a calculated attempt to capitalize on a progressive market… but hey, at least he's selling rainbows now, right? Maybe we can call it a net positive? Or at least, a net positive for my research grant application."

Meanwhile, sales of Chad’s Rainbow Rebellion merchandise are through the roof, exceeding even the sales of his previous collection, which featured t-shirts displaying various interpretations of the phrase 'Marriage is between a man and a toaster'. One can only hope this bizarre turn of events inspires further introspection, or at the very least, a truly fabulous line of gender-neutral toaster oven mitts.
